Yamuna routines use these small balls as a pair and individually. Now used in many YBR and Yamuna Yoga routines, they were first developed for runners, cyclists, dancers, and climbers to work their knees, calves, and ankles.
These balls are for detail work, and are generally used after one’s mastered the basic lines of the body with the other balls. That being said, there are many simple routines that use them effectively and with ease: the Yamuna Yoga, Save Your Hips, Save Your Shoulders, Save Your Knee, and Save Your Ankles all use the black Calf Balls.
Great for travel for the more experienced Yamuna Body roller! Great for the hamstrings, IT band, shoulders and chest, hips, and traps! These balls (along with the Foot Savers) take the release in yoga poses to a whole new level!
These balls come as an inflated pair. The Pump is recommended with this ball, but not included.
WARNING: DO NOT DEFLATE THESE BALLS COMPLETELY, or they can become damaged. This is why whereas other balls might come deflated, these come inflated. However, you can change the inflation level depending on your exercise or the tension in your muscles.
